FEMALE LEADERSHIP

FEMALE LEADERSHIP

Storytelling

Since 2017 we are conducting a variety of dialogues and storytelling sessions with female leaders who are managing complex change processes in their organizations. Female leaders with different backgrounds and nationalities, with different passions for their expertise, different experiences and with different views about what organisations and life is all about. Stories from the perspective of a fast-changing world. The purpose of this applied research is to explore hidden talents and competences of female leaders, while driving change.

The dialogue

During these dialogues we touch upon different topics, and matters. What can we learn from these female leaders? What kind of changes are they exactly dealing with? What was the impact of these changes on their personal and professional life? How did they lead the process during tough and unpredictable moments? Why is their drive to make the change succeed? What were their key-learnings after finalizing the change process? And, did they have any doubts or on the contrary felt motivated for another new change? We ask these questions to female leaders in order for them to reflect on leadership moments and share their leadership style, their competences and their choice whether to lead more changes or not. Every dialogue brings its own magic, authenticity, and unique insights.

Amsterdam, the Dutch capital, was the place to be for the many, including myself more than three years back. The year 2020, the year the pandemic introduced itself to the world, managed to change the world completely leaving intense challenges for politicians, entrepreneurs, CEO's, global citizens, and people out on the streets.

While walking through the old centre of Funchal, the capital of Madeira, I was preparing myself a bit to see how I could connect different stories in time. The Madeira University, a Portuguese public university founded in 1988, established its headquarters in an impressive old building

Preparing my e-dialogue with Dr. Karen Duys, senior consultant to local and national Dutch governmental organizations and an entrepreneur, was challenging and inspiring at the same time. Both of us are more than familiar with the one of the most dynamic cities
